Hooked on Phonics Learn to Read

by Jennifer Hoberer
(San Antonio, TX, USA)

It is the perfect fit for us! I began homeschooling my son in Kindergarten last November. In only 8 months- 20 minutes a day, 5x a week- he is now 3/4 of the way through the first grade set.

It was a breeze.

We learn a new sound combination or two, practice the 2 word pages (briefly discussing what each word means), read a really cute comic style story and then progress to a book. Then the cycle repeats. Once in awhile they throw in a spelling challenge or some sight words they use in an upcoming story.

It couldn't be easier- my 5 year old can read several chapter books!!!
